Abstract

The 2025 Community Service Program (KKN) of the University of Mataram in Labuhan Village, Lombok, focused on improving literacy culture among children. This program was supported by the National Library Literacy Movement and involved various interesting activities, such as Literacy Visits, literacy socialization, and Village-Level Literacy Appreciation packaged in competitions. The method used prioritized community participation, especially involving elementary school students and school officials. The results of this activity showed high enthusiasm from the participants, increased interest in reading, and positive support from the community. It is hoped that this program can continue as an effort to revitalize village libraries and strengthen literacy culture in the East End of Lombok. The method used was the Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA) approach, which involved village officials, teachers, students, and the community in four stages: preparation, implementation, evaluation, and reporting. Main activities included literacy visits to schools, poetry reading and coloring competitions, and literacy socialization and bullying prevention in collaboration with the Pringgabaya Police Chief.
