Literacy is one of the basic skills that is the foundation for individual and community development. However, the condition of literacy in Indonesia still faces various challenges. One of the things that affects low literacy is the limited reading facilities that are easily accessible, especially in rural areas. This condition is also seen in Jago Village, where the limited school library, lack of access to books, and lack of assistance from parents cause children to be less accustomed to reading outside of school hours. The purpose of this research is to find out the role of TBM Pustaka Tunas Alam in increasing people's interest in reading in Jago Village, especially elementary school children so that a culture of literacy can grow from an early age. The methods used in this research are observation and interview. Observations were conducted to observe problems related to literacy in Jago village. Meanwhile, interviews were conducted by interviewing the parties involved, such as the manager of the Taman Baca Masyarakat to get more in-depth information. The results of this study show that TBM Pustaka Tunas Alam has a very important role as a forum or place in improving community literacy in Jago Village. With this TBM, the community, especially school children, has an increased interest in reading with the availability of infrastructure that supports these literacy activities. It can be concluded that the activities carried out by with this TBM, the community, especially school children, has an increased interest in reading with the availability of infrastructure that supports these literacy activities. It can be concluded that the activities carried out by UNRAM Literacy PMD KKN students succeeded in making the Jago Village TBM not only a place to read books, but also as a space for interaction, mentoring, and strengthening basic to intermediate literacy skills.
